Read currency values
Clerked displays a currency amount with its ISO currency code after the number. For example, an amount may appear as 1,234.56 USD or (42.00) EUR. The code makes the currency clear when a symbol could represent more than one currency.
Where the code appears
The same format is used in supported currency values across the product, including:
- invoice list cells;
- invoice detail values and totals;
- line-item amounts; and
- editable currency inputs.
The code stays visible when you edit a currency value, so the value does not lose its context while you type.
Read negative values
Negative amounts use parentheses around the amount and keep the code after it. For example, (42.00) EUR is a negative forty-two euros value.
If a value looks different
Currency availability and field labels depend on your company schema and the source data. If an amount is missing a code or appears to use the wrong currency, compare it with the invoice source and contact your workspace administrator or Clerked support.
