Create and update saved views

Saved views remember a list's filters, sort, visible columns, and column layout so you can return to the same working view.

Before you start

Open Invoices or another list that supports saved views, then set the Filter, Sort, and Columns controls you want to keep.

The view tabs and available fields depend on the list and your company's schema. On the invoice list, the system view formerly labeled Recently Deleted is now Archived.

Create a saved view

  1. Select New view at the end of the view tabs.
  2. Enter a name in New saved view name.
  3. Select Create.

The new saved view becomes the active tab and keeps the current filters, sort, columns, and column layout.

Update a saved view

  1. Open the saved view you want to change.
  2. Change its Filter, Sort, or Columns settings.
  3. Find the Unsaved changes control above the table.
  4. Select Save to update the current view.

Save a copy or reset the view

  1. Select Save as in the changes control when you want to keep the original view.
  2. Enter a name in New saved view name.
  3. Select Create.

Select Reset instead when you want to discard the current changes and return to the saved layout.

Rename or delete a saved view

  1. Select the three-dot control at the right edge of the custom view tab. Its accessible label is Manage [view name].
  2. Select Rename or Delete.
  3. Follow the prompt shown for that action.

System views do not have this three-dot control.

What you should see

Your saved view appears as a tab on the same list. When you return to it, the table restores the settings saved for that view.

If something goes wrong

  • If New view is unavailable, reload the page and confirm that the list supports saved views.
  • If the Unsaved changes control does not appear, make a deliberate change to a filter, sort, or column setting.
  • If a view no longer returns the records you expect, select Reset, then review its filters and sort.
