Accept an invitation to Mod AI
To use Mod AI, an admin or manager has to invite you. This page walks through the invitation flow.
How invitations work
When an admin adds you to Mod AI, the platform sends an invitation email to the address they entered. The email contains a unique link that lets you set up your account and join your organization.
Each invitation is tied to a specific organization and one or more entities (companies) inside that organization. Your role is set at the time of invitation and decides what you can see and do.
What the invitation email looks like
The email comes from @usemod.ai and contains:
- A welcome message with your organization's name.
- The name of the person who invited you.
- A Get Started button.
If the email is not in your inbox, check spam or junk.
Accept the invitation
Open the email and click Get Started
In your inbox, look for the email from @usemod.ai with the subject You're invited to your organization on Mod AI (the email subject substitutes your real organization name). Open it. Toward the bottom of the email, click the purple Get Started button. It opens the Mod AI account setup page in a new browser tab.
Set your password
The account setup page shows your email at the top and a single Set your password form. Type a password into the Password field, then type the same password again into the Confirm password field. The page checks each rule as you type, with a green checkmark or red X next to each:
- At least 8 characters.
- One uppercase letter.
- One lowercase letter.
- One number.
- One special character.
When every rule shows a green checkmark, click the purple Create account button at the bottom of the form.
Confirm your account
Once the password saves, a brief Account created confirmation appears, then the page automatically redirects to the Mod AI login page with your email pre-filled. Enter your new password to log in for the first time.
Joining a company
Your admin assigns you to specific entities when they invite you. If your organization runs more than one entity, you may be added to several.
After logging in, you can see which entities you belong to from the company switcher in the top bar. See Navigating the Dashboard.
You do not pick which entity to join. Your admin assigns you. If you need access to a different entity, ask your admin.
If your invitation expired
Invitation links expire for security. If you click the link and see an expiration message:
- Ask your admin to resend the invitation.
- A fresh email arrives with a new link.
- Run through the steps above with the new link.
Reusing an expired link does not work.
If you never received an invitation
- Check spam or junk first.
- Confirm with your admin that they used the correct email.
- Ask the admin to resend from Entity Users settings.
- If it still does not arrive, email support@usemod.ai.
