Search, filter, and save views (Vendors)
The Vendors page uses Mod AI's data-table toolbar — search, filter, sort, column controls. If you've used Invoices > Searching & Filtering, the same toolbar mechanics apply here; only the specific fields differ.

Vendors list with the Filter panel open showing the available filter fields.
Saved views
Unlike Invoices, the Vendors list does not ship with invoice workflow tabs such as Needs Review, Pending Approval, Exported, or Archived. You can save custom views with the New view button — those appear as tabs once created.
Create a saved view
- Apply the filters, column visibility, and sort you want this view to capture (use the Filter, Columns, and Sort buttons in the toolbar above the table).
- In the toolbar, find the + (or New view) button at the right end of the tab row (where the system tabs would normally be).
- Click it. A small Create View dialog opens.
- Give the view a clear name (for example, Active Vendors, Inactive non-USD, No Email).
- Click Save. The new view appears as its own tab in the tab row at the top of the page, instantly selectable.
The dirty-state pill
When you modify a saved view (change a filter, hide a column, change sort), a small pill appears in the toolbar showing the view is unsaved:
- Save — overwrite the saved view with the current state.
- Reset — discard your changes and return to the saved state.
Search
The search box matches text across:
- Vendor name (full or partial)
Results filter as you type.
Filter
Click Filter to open the filter rules panel. Rules combine with AND logic.
| Filter | Operators |
|---|---|
| Default Currency | is, is not, is empty, is not empty |
| Vendor Active | is, is one of |
| Name | is exactly, contains, starts with |
| is exactly, contains, starts with, is empty | |
| Active | is true, is false |
The filter list is dynamic — the Default Currency value list only shows currencies that appear across your vendor records.
Click the X next to any rule to remove it. Click Clear all to wipe every rule.
Sort
Click Sort to open the sort menu, or click any column header directly. The column-header cycle is: ascending → descending → no sort. Common sorts: Name (alphabetical), Active (group active first).
Columns
Click Columns to open the column-visibility panel. Toggle columns on or off, drag column-header edges to resize. Choices save to your profile.
Available columns include Vendor Active, Name, Email, and Active.
Bulk actions
Selecting one or more rows via the checkbox column reveals the Bulk actions menu where available.
