Settings overview

Settings is where you manage everything that isn't a document — your profile, your organization's people and policies, your company's configuration.

Where to find it

In the top-right corner of any page, click your avatar (your initials or profile picture, displayed inside a small circle next to the notifications bell and the help icon). The avatar overlay menu opens directly below the avatar. Click Settings in that menu (it has a gear icon to the left of the label).

The Settings page loads, with a three-tier navigation pane on the left and the active page's content on the right.

Settings is NOT in the left sidebar

In a prior version of Mod AI, Settings, People, and Approvals each had their own left-sidebar entry. Those entries were removed. If you're used to looking on the left, look top-right instead — the avatar menu is the only way in.

The three tiers

TierWhat's in itWho can change it
My SettingsYour personal profile, password, notification preferences, default company. Affects only your account. You
OrganizationSettings that apply across every company under your organization — members of the org, organization-wide roles, organization-level configuration.Org admins
CompanySettings for the currently-selected company (entity) — company profile, members of this company, company-level features and feature flags, approval policies, hidden modules.Company admins

The tier a setting lives in tells you its blast radius: a My Settings change affects nobody else; an Organization change affects every user in every entity; a Company change affects only users of that one company.

Folded routes (formerly left-sidebar entries)

These surfaces moved under Settings. Their docs still live in their original sections, but you'll find the actual UI under one of the three tiers:

The actual settings UI groups these into clean sentence-case sections under each tier.

Visual hierarchy

The Settings UI uses a quieter visual hierarchy than the rest of the app — smaller cards, less chrome, and whitespace-driven grouping. Sentence-case labels throughout. If you're used to the older Settings, the new layout has the same fields with less noise.
