Review SAP invoice line coding

Use the invoice line workspace to review SAP Business ByDesign matching and coding before the invoice continues.

Labels can vary

The examples below come from the SAP Business ByDesign connector schema. Your company schema may use different labels or show a different configured segment.

Before you start

Open an invoice that uses the SAP Business ByDesign connector and confirm that its line items are available for review.

Review an invoice line

  1. Select Invoices in the left navigation.
  2. Open the invoice you need to review.
  3. Select Line item view.
  4. Select Review view or Table view.
  5. Open the line that needs attention.
  6. Review the Matching block for Purchase Order, PO Line Item, and Receipt Line.
  7. Review the configured coding fields for that line.
  8. Save any correction before continuing the invoice workflow.

For one SAP connector schema, line coding fields include GL Account, Tax Treatment, Project, and Cost Center. These are examples, not universal Clerked field names.

What you should see

The line shows the matched purchase order and receipt references that are available to the invoice. The configured coding values appear in the line workspace, and saved corrections remain visible when you switch between Review view and Table view.

If something goes wrong

  • If a matching field is empty, confirm that the intended purchase order and receipt data are available through the connector.
  • If a coding field is missing, ask your Clerked contact whether your company schema includes it.
  • If a saved value returns to its earlier value, reload the invoice and contact support with the invoice number and field label.
